This free celebration is an opportunity for OceanaGold to thank the wider Otago community for their support during the past two decades.

 

Entertainment will include:

  • Complimentary tours of the Macraes Operation 1 (includes seeing the Rainbow Trout at the Otago Fish & Game joint venture hatchery)
  • Step up and get your picture taken with some of the largest mining equipment in New Zealand 2
  • Join in on the bucket loads of fun family entertainment for all ages (including bouncy castles for the wee ones)
  • Take a stroll around the OceanaGold Wetlands and view the Heritage and Art Park
  • Loads of food for sale and great information stalls to teach you all the history and the workings of Macraes
  • Smoke-free and alcohol-free

If you have already registered for tickets we will send you a pack containing the necessary tickets which will be required for entry on the day.3 Please note for health & safety reasons entry will not be permitted without a ticket.

1 Sorry, tour isn't suitable for children under the age of 5. The first tour via bus will be approximately a 1.5 hour round trip starting at 9am with the last bus leaving at 4.00pm. Participants MUST wear closed toed shoes and long pants/long sleeve tops or shirts. We apologise, due to the terrain this tour is not recommended for those with accessibility requirements. Children under the age of 14 must have a parent or guardian present at all times whilst on the tour.
